30 Days of Small Actions to Help You Lose Weight

Are you ready to take action and get a jump start on your weight loss goals?  If so, join me in doing Michele Connolly’s 30-Day Weight Loss-athon program.  I will be starting the program on March 3, 2014 when Michele takes it “live”.  This gives you the chance to interact with others that are also starting the program on the same day as you.  But rest assured, if you miss out on the March 3rd start date, you can still begin the program at anytime and work at your own pace.

So, why I am talking about weight-loss on a decluttering blog?  Because one of my long-terms goals is to lead a simple life that is not filled with stress.  Right now, my mind is cluttered with weight stress as I gained 10 pounds over the past  year and I’m still gaining.  I don’t like that my once loose pants are feeling tight!  Fortunately, my weight isn’t a health issue at this point.  But I know that as the numbers on the scale go up, so does my risk of developing health problems. Besides dealing with that, there is also the financial stress of increased health care costs.

What is the Weight Loss a-thon?
It’s not a diet or exercise program.  You aren’t going to be given 1200 calorie or low carb meal plan or a set of workout DVDs.  Rather, each day, you will be given a weight loss topic to read about and a small task to do.  According to the program description, each action should only take ten minutes and will help you lose weight. You can find a complete list of the 30-Day Weight Loss-athon topics on the Program Description page.

I believe that this will be a good program no matter where you are in your weight loss journey.  If you reviewed the topic list, you can see that Michele Connolly covers diet, exercise, weight-loss support, overeating, food/meals/water and more.  You will get the benefit of getting both weight loss related information and an action to do.  Too often, people (me!) get caught up in reading and not doing.
